Hello Friends,

Last week, Joe Goforth and I did a live shoot on campus.  It was the first annual national Hispanic month celebration with several guest speakers and performances along with displays of art works.

We used two Sony HD cameras along with two lavalier mics.  One mic was on the podium for cam2, the long to medium view, which I operated.  The other was Joe’s camera for the close full view of the speakers.

The presentation had a lot of dancing performance on stage.  Our main concern in filming the event was that we neither moved our cameras for re-framing the shot, nor changed tapes at the same time.  We were also using the mics on the cameras so we communicated by sign.

Everything went smooth and I enjoyed the work. It was good to get out of the ‘black hole’, that is the dark cramped editing room where I have been working.

Stay tuned for more exciting blogs!

P.S.  Worked another day since this shoot.  Thought I was going to start the editing on this project, but had to spend day going back and reworking and correcting a project I had done my first week on the job.  Oh well.
